KITTITAS COUNTY <br />DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS <br />STUDY SESSION DATE: May 13, 2019 <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Request to Approve a Resolution Authorizing the Director <br />of Public Works to Authorize a Notice of Call for Bids for <br />the Teenaway Road Hydraulic Improvements Phase 1: <br />Story Creek Culvert Replacement Project <br />BACKGROUND: Improving the Story Creek crossing on Teanaway Road is a <br />project funded by the Federal Highway Administration and <br />is a project appearing on Public Works 2019 annual <br />construction program. <br />Public Works has prepared a plazas, specification and <br />engineering package for contractor review and bid <br />submittal supporting the improvements to the Story Creek <br />crossing on Teansway Road. <br />INTERACTION: Public Works <br />RECOAEVIENDATION: Approve the Resolution Authorizing the Director of Public <br />Works to Authorize a Notice of Call for Bids for the <br />Teanaway Road Hydraulic Improvements Phase 1: Story <br />Creek Culvert Replacement Project and direct staff to <br />advertise for three consecutive weeks (05116, 05123 and <br />0513012019) and open bids on June 6", 2019 at 10:00 AM, <br />HANDLING: Return one original to Public Works <br />ATTACHMENTS: Resolution; Notice of Call for Bids <br />LEAD STAFF: Mark R.
