Response 1: <br />Project/Event <br />Description * <br />WindFall Cider Fest and Roots Music is from 3-9pm at Western Tourn on ihe <br />grounds of the Kittitas Valley Event Center. Taps will open mid-afternoon, and the <br />concert will start shortly thereafter. <br />The perfect pairing of Cider & Music meet again to celebrate the colors of fall in the <br />center of Washington Ciderhouses from Puget Sound, Wenatchee, Yakima and <br />around the region will bring enough varieties to make the most e4terienced taster <br />svroon. Four live bands, Bluegrass to Folk to Americana, will or,rn the outdoor <br />stage. <br />WindFall is an event for ages 21 and up.lD is required <br />WindFall is the grandest gathering of Cider in Central Washington. Trirrelve cider <br />houses will be doing their best to impress. Each cider house will bring tvro or three <br />varieties for tasting. From dry to sraeet to hopped to fruited, herbed or flor,rered, <br />there's a cider for everyone. Local restaurants and concessions will offer plentiful <br />handy food for every taste. Beer, wine and soft drinks will also be available. <br />Four live bands, not entirely traditional, but deeply rooted. "And Roots Music" <br />means Bluegrass-Americana-Folk will light up the Western Town courtyard stage <br />and bring an energetic concert to WindFall. ln 2019 \^€ welcomed: <br />Head for the Hills from Boulder, Co., Fort Defiance from Nashville, Young Feller <br />from Leavenrnorih, and Ellensburg's oran Killdeer String Band. <br />We are fortunate to uork with veteran music festival producers and add the <br />Chinook "Where Great Music Meets the Great Outdoors" e4oerience to the event. <br />Though our event for 2A19 \ <br />^tn't <br />have happened by ihe grant due date, it is raell <br />planned and hitting the timeline. Ticket sales are brisk. Additional information can <br />be made available shortly after Oct. 5. <br />As the largest fundraiser for KEEN, this event will continue to shovr,case ceniral <br />Washington at the height of the fall season. Hard cider is the nation's fastest <br />growing beverage and thal industry continues to growand gain fans around ihe <br />region. Ciderhouses are now asking WindFall if they may attend. Musicians are <br />asking WindFall howthey can get a chance on the stage. Community members are <br />asking howthey can get involved. <br />Equal parts craft cider tasting and outdoor concert, WindFall appeals to a wide, <br />adult audience.
