KITTITAS COUNTY <br />DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS <br />STUDY SESSION STAFF REPORT <br />STUDY SESSION DATE: June 10, 2019 <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Request to Approve a Resolution to Authorize the Chair's <br />Signature on KPFF Task Order No. 18, Special Haul <br />Vehicle Load Ratings <br />BACKGROUND: The Federal Government requires Kittitas County to update <br />load ratings on 49 bridges 12-31-2022; supporting special <br />haul vehicle loads. KPFF has the County's consultant <br />bridge inspector for the past several years. Their <br />experience with our bridges allows for a competitive <br />pricing structure completing the required load ratings. The <br />cost for the load ratings is $262,174.21. <br />KPFF's task order master contract expires 12-31-2019. <br />The Public Works Financial Manager validates the ability <br />for this Task Order to run to completion beyond the <br />termination date of the master contract supporting task <br />completion. <br />INTERACTION: Public Works <br />RECOMMENDATION: Authorize the Chair's signature on KPFF Task Order No. <br />18. <br />HANDLING: Return one original to Public Works <br />ATTACHMENTS: Resolution; Task Order No. 18 <br />LEAD STAFF: Mark R.
