KITTITAS COUNTY <br />DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS <br />STUDY SESSION STAFF REPORT <br />STUDY SESSION DATE: June 10, 2019 <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Request to Approve a Resolution Rescinding Ordinance <br />2019-009 and Replacing the action to Vacate Hartman <br />Road by Resolution <br />BACKGROUND: Prior to 2015, all roads appeared in the Road Standards that <br />were adopted by the Board of County Commissioners by <br />Ordinance. The 2015 Road Standards revision eliminated <br />all county roads from appearing in the standards and now <br />all roads appear in the County Road log as maintained by <br />Public Works. <br />It is necessary to invalid Ordinance 2019-009, as Public <br />Works staff erroneously directed the Board to vacate <br />Hartman Road by Ordinance rather than by resolution. The <br />proposed resolution invalidates the ordinance, adopts the <br />engineer's report and adopts the Board's findings from the <br />Public Hearing conducted on June 4, 2019. <br />INTERACTION: Public Works <br />RECOMMENDATION: Authorize the Board's signature invalidating Ordinance <br />2019-009 and vacating Hartman Road by resolution. <br />HANDLING: Return one original to Public Works <br />ATTACHMENTS: Resolution <br />LEAD STAFF: Mark R.
