BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS COUNTY OF KITTITAS STATE OF WASHINGTON RESOLUTION NO. 2019 -A D I INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT WITH THE CITY OF CLE ELUM FOR COST RECOVERY ASSOCIATED WITH CITY WATER AND SEWER EXTENSION TO 51 NO.5 MINE ROAD IN CLE ELUM, WASHINGTON WHEREAS: Kittitas County Department of Public Works and the City of Cie Elum, WA have an interlocal agreement in place for the County to receive cost reimbursement from the City for projects benefitting the City and has been previously approved for use by the Prosecuting Attorney's Office; and WHEREAS: Kittitas County Department of Public Works desires having the City of Cie Elum extend water and sewer utilities to 51 No. 5 Mine Road and the current interlocal agreement does not anticipate the County receiving service from the City; and WHEREAS: Public Works staff have replaced "City" for "County" in a similar interlocal agreement allowing the City to provide service to the County and said agreement is authorized in Revised Code of Washington at 39.34 and at 35.77.020; and WHEREAS: Time is of the essence owing to a failing water supply pump at the Solid Waste Transfer Station (50 No. 5 Mine Road) and the City desires keeping the transfer station with water service; NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners, in the best interest of the public, does hereby authorize the Board's signature on the interlocal agreement with the City of Cie Elum, WA, providing cost reimbursement to the City for providing water and sewer utilities to 51 No. 5 Mine Road, Cie Elum, WA.
