Fleet Management and Telematics Integration Pro'ect <br />The Goals identified for the fleet management system were as follows: <br />(1) Computerize Equipment Maintenance Records <br />(2) Track Part usage : Analyze possible bulk purchases in future <br />(3) Work Order System that can be used for Equipment and Road Maintenance <br />(4) Capture odometer readings and error codes from Equipment for Maintenance team <br />(5) Two way communication opportunity with Maintenance team <br />Operators <br />to let the operators know the Work order <br />- <br />is complete. <br />to the maintenance departm •°nt. <br />Work Orders <br />Work Orders PW Admin <br />Road Foreman <br />We want to be able to submit Work Orders for Road Work <br />We wont our Rood foreman to be able to retrieve these Work Orders. <br />Equipment <br />We want to retrieve Hours, Mileage (Odometer Readings) and Error Codes, <br />Maintenance <br />We wort our maintenance cretiv to be notified of equipment issues, and maintenance <br />needs and to be able to upd9te the information in fleet monagemert system. <br />The following fleet management systems were analyzed: <br />(1) RTA (Partner with Zonar which is the system on our dump trucks) RTA has work order management, <br />parts inventory management, vehicle/equipment management, tire management, allows for digitized <br />driver inspections and a customizable dashboard. RTA also allows for an affordable package price. <br />(2) Fiix —found via google search. Does not include work orders, too simple of program. <br />(3) Dossier Systems (Partner with Zonar) keeps track of equipment specs, inventory management, <br />personnel management including compliance CDL expired dates and Med Cert. Vendor Management <br />and fuel usage and tracking. Work order creation. Tire management. After viewing the demo, Christina, <br />Willie, and Liz discussed the option and felt it was too expensive compared to RTA for what it offered. <br />(4) Faster (used by County of Yakima) No response from vendor to demo. We assume it may be too robust <br />and expense for our needs. <br />(5) Asset Works (used by City of Ellensburg) Cost effective for fleets over 500 vehicles. <br />3 <br />
