KITTITAS COUNTY <br />DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS <br />STUDY SESSION STAFF REPORT <br />STUDY SESSION DATE: June 10, 2019 <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Request to Authorize advertisement for Statement of <br />Qualifications for General Engineering and Planning <br />Support Services for Bowers Field <br />BACKGROUND: The current contract for general engineering and planning <br />support services for Bowers Field is expired. Public Works <br />desires having an engineering and planning firm familiar <br />with aviation issues available on an as needed basis. For <br />the past several years, Century West Engineering has <br />supplied engineering and planning services to Public <br />Works and the support is valuable assisting staff in the <br />operation of Bowers Field Airport. <br />Public Works proposes entering into a task order contract <br />for service with the selected firm. A selection committee <br />has been formed to review, rank, interview and make a <br />recommendation for contracting to the Board of County <br />Commissioners. The agreement shall be for a two year <br />period with an option for a third year providing both parties <br />agree to extend. <br />INTERACTION: Public Works <br />RECOMMENDATION: Authorize advertising for Statement of Qualifications for <br />General Engineering and Planning Support Services at <br />Bowers Field. <br />HANDLING: Return one original to Public Works <br />ATTACHMENTS: Notice of Advertisement; Statement of Qualifications for <br />General Engineering and Planning Support Services for <br />Bowers Field. <br />LEAD STAFF: Mark R.
