08/06/2019 MINUTES 6 <br /> <br /> <br />ADMINISTRATIVE MATTERS LETTER 2020 BUDGET COMMISSIONERS <br />Commissioner Wachsmith moved to approve a letter to Kittitas County <br />Elected Officials and Department Heads, regarding the 2020 Budget <br />process and priorities. Commissioner Osiadacz seconded. Motion carried <br />3-0. <br /> PAYMENT CITY OF CLE ELUM – LARGE SCALE PROJECT AUDITOR <br />Commissioner Wachsmith moved to approve the Electronic Payment from the <br />Stadium Fund #140 for the Lodging Tax Large Scale Project for the City <br />of Cle Elum Horse Park, in the amount of $1,500.00. Commissioner <br />Osiadacz seconded. Motion carried 3-0. CITIZEN COMMENTS ON NON-AGENDA ITEMS <br />William Coleman felt the Board should take a stand and fight for <br />citizen’s rights against Initiative 1639. <br /> <br />Cathy Matlin, President of the League of Woman Voters said there was 60% <br />voter approval of Initiative 1639 and that the Board should uphold the <br />laws, and by supporting a Resolution against it that would give the <br />green light to citizens to disobey laws. <br /> <br />Jackie Herum agreed with Ms. Matlin’s comments and urged the Board not <br />to support the proposed Resolution. <br /> <br />Eric Maldes commented on Initiative 1639 and said citizens cannot vote <br />their rights away.
