08/06/2019 MINUTES 2 <br />includes the building and a parking area behind the building. She <br />noted the Prosecutor’s office and Accolade have worked to determine <br />a fair market value for the building. She said before the Lease <br />would become official they’d have to have insurance documentation. <br /> <br />THOSE PRESENT & TESTIFYING: KATIE OLSON said they received the <br />proposed Lease late last night and they had questions relating to <br />late rent; the first and last month’s rent; if there would be any <br />grace period and when it would be due; are costs incurred for <br />noxious weeds be reimbursed, and is possible they’d like to know <br />ahead of time what those costs would be. THERE BEING NO OTHERS <br />REQUESTING TO TESTIFY, THE PUBLIC PORTION OF THE HEARING WAS CLOSED. <br /> <br />ANN SHAW, ACCOLADE said they typically don’t have a termination <br />clause in a Lease Agreement due to a death or close of a business. <br />COMMISISONER OSIADACZ said she would like to stay with the same <br />Lease Agreements as well as the increases to rent. MARK COOK, PUBLIC <br />WORKS DIRECTOR/INTERIM ENGINEER spoke of the vegetation and said if <br />they owners keep the weeds down then noxious weeds wouldn’t become <br />an issue. <br /> <br />LEASE FIRST AND LAST CHANCE TAVERN LLC SOLID WASTE <br /> <br />COMMISSIONER WACHSMITH moved to approve a Commercial Building Lease <br />Agreement between Kittitas County and the First and Last Chance <br />Tavern, LLC, beginning July 1, 2019 through June 30, 2024, at a rate <br />of $1,345.50 per month with annual increases taking effect January <br />1st of each year. COMMISSIONER OSIADACZ seconded.
