8/05/2019 MINUTES 2 <br />there will be further discussions coming and a draft resolution was <br />submitted that the County can have review done and consider. <br /> <br />REQUEST HR CLOSURE HUMAN RESOURCES <br /> <br />Mandy Buchholz, Deputy Clerk of the Board II presented on behalf of <br />HR Director Lisa Young a request to close their office on August 13 <br />& 14 due to unforeseen scheduling conflicts that can’t be changed. <br />The Board approved the request and asked that HR be sure and post <br />appropriate signage. <br /> <br />DISCUSSION FACEBOOK WEEKLY POSTS COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />The Board determined that for the week of August 5, 2019 they would <br />be publishing on their Facebook the following posts: Press Release <br />seeking volunteers for Boards, Committee’s and Commissions and also <br />a link for air quality. <br /> <br />OTHER BUSINESS/GENERAL UPDATES <br /> <br />Each Commissioner may use this time to brief the Board on varying <br />topics and discussions they independently had throughout the <br />previous week. <br /> <br />EXECUTIVE SESSION COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />At 9:32 a.m. Chairman Wright announced the Board would recess into <br />Executive Session for 5 minutes to evaluate the qualifications of an <br />applicant for public employment or to review the performance of a <br />public employee. However, subject to RCW 42.30.140 (4), discussion <br />by a governing body of salaries, wages, and other conditions of <br />employment to be generally applied within the agency shall occur in <br />a meeting open to the public, and when a governing body elects to <br />take final action hiring, setting the salary of an individual <br />employee or class of employees, or discharging or disciplining an <br />employee, that action shall be taken in a meeting open to the <br />public. No action was anticipated. <br /> <br />At 9:38 a.m. the Board reconvened out of Executive Session.
