BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />COUNTY OF KITTITAS <br />STATE, OF WASHINGTON <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2019 -_Laq <br />AWARDING THE DESIGN AND ENVIRONMENTAL PERMITTING FOR THE <br />KACHESS LAKE ROAD CULVERT REPLACEMENT PROJECT TO JACOBS AND <br />AUTHORIZE THE PUBLIC WORKS DIRECTOR TO NEGOTIATE SCOPE OF WORK <br />AND FEE FOR SAID PROJECT <br />WHEREAS: Public Works solicited for qualified design and engineering firms pursuant to <br />state and federal procurement regulations; and <br />WHEREAS: Seven (7) qualified engineering firms responded to the request for qualifications <br />with process closing on June 27, 2019; and <br />WHEREAS: A review committee of Public Works staff evaluated responses and reviewers <br />have selected Jacobs as the preferred firm to provide said services; and <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners, in the <br />best interest of the public, does hereby authorize the Public Works Director to negotiate a scope <br />of work and fee with Jacobs for the design and environmental permitting for the Kachess Lake <br />Road Culvert Replacement Project and authorizes the signature of the Public Works Director on <br />the required local agency agreement providing an acceptable scope of work and fee is <br />successfully negotiated. <br />DATED this 12th day of August, 2019, at Ellensburg, Washington. <br />Attest: <br />Clerk of the Board- Julie Kjorsvik <br />BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON <br />❑ Deputy Clerk of the Board- Mandy Buchholz ABSENT <br />�pMMlgs/O (J Laura Osiadacz, Commissioner <br />'SEAL <br />"S,cQUNTY `NPS <br />
