08/20/2019 MINUTES 1 <br />COMMISSIONERS' MINUTES KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON COMMISSIONERS AUDITORIUM SPECIAL MEETING <br /> TUESDAY 2:00 P.M. AUGUST 20, 2019 <br />Board members present: Vice-Chairman Brett Wachsmith and <br />Commissioner Laura Osiadacz. Excused: Chairman Cory Wright. <br /> <br />Others: Julie Kjorsvik, Clerk of the Board; Mark Cook, Public Works <br />Director/Interim Engineer; Kay Kresge, Fiscal Analyst; and Dora Van <br />Epps, Fiscal Analyst. <br /> PUBLIC HEARING COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT AUDITOR <br />At 2:00 p.m. VICE-CHAIRMAN WACHSMITH opened a Public Hearing to <br />consider the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Public <br />Services Grant Closeout Performance Report. <br /> DORA VAN EPPS, FISCAL ANALYST provided a Staff Report and reviewed <br />the Closeout Performance Report for Grant #18-62210-008 with the <br />State of Washington Department of Commerce from July 1, 2018 through <br />June 30, 2019. The project was for HopeSource to provide public <br />services to low and moderate income residents in amount of <br />$83,997.00, which included $3,500.00 for County Administration. She <br />recommended the Boards approval of the Public Services Grant <br />Closeout Performance Report. <br /> THERE BEING NO ONE IN ATTENDANCE REQUESTING TO TESTIFY, THE PUBLIC PORTION OF THE HEARING WAS CLOSED. COMMISSIONER OSIADACZ moved to approve and authorize the Vice-Chair <br />to sign the Community Development Block Grant Contract Closeout <br />Report. VICE-CHAIRMAN WACHSMITH seconded. Motion carried 2-0. <br /> PUBLIC HEARING DECLARE SURPLUS EQUIPMENT AUDITOR <br /> <br />At 2:02 p.m. VICE-CHAIRMAN WACHSMITH opened a Public Hearing to <br />Declare Surplus Property to the County’s needs. <br /> KAY KRESGE, FISCAL ANALYST reviewed a Staff Report and said the <br />items on a list that had been provided to the Board was no longer <br />needed and recommended they declare the list surplus. <br /> THERE BEING NO ONE IN ATTENDANCE REQUESTING TO TESTIFY, THE PUBLIC PORTION OF THE HEARING WAS CLOSED.
