KITTITAS COUNTY <br />DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS <br />STUDY SESSION STAFF REPORT <br />STUDY SESSION DATE: September 9, 2019 <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Request to Approve a Resolution Awarding the <br />Design and Environmental Permitting Contract for <br />the Vantage Highway Coleman Creek Culvert <br />Replacement Project to KPG and Authorize the <br />Director of Public Works to negotiate scope of work <br />and sign said the required local agency agreement. <br />BACKGROUND: Public Works produced a Statement of <br />Qualifications seeking to hire a consultant for <br />Design and Environmental Permitting services for <br />the Vantage Highway Coleman Creek Culvert <br />Replacement Project. Three (3) qualified firms <br />responded to the request for qualifications process <br />closing on August 23, 2019. A review committee of <br />Public Works evaluated the proposal and reviewers <br />have selected KPG to perform design and <br />environmental permitting services for said project. <br />INTERACTION: Public Works <br />RECOMMENDATION: Approve a Resolution to Award the Design and <br />Environmental Permitting Contract to KPG for the <br />Vantage Highway Coleman Creek Culvert <br />Replacement Project and Authorize the Director of <br />Public Works to negotiate scope of work and fee <br />and sign the required local agency agreement once <br />negotiated. <br />HANDLING: Return one (1) original to Public Works <br />ATTACHMENTS: Resolution <br />LEAD STAFF: Mark Cook, Director <br />
