KITTITAS COUNTY <br />DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS <br />STUDY SESSION STAFF REPORT <br />STUDY SESSION DATE: November 12, 2019 <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Request to Approve a Resolution to Appoint Public Works <br />Director to County Engineer for a period not to exceed six <br />months ending April 13, 2020. <br />BACKGROUND: Resolution 2019- placed the Public Works Director (PWD) <br />as Acting County Road Engineer for a period of six months <br />ending November 13, 2019. The County Road <br />Administration Board is requesting Board action extending <br />the PWD placement period. CRAB has been made aware <br />of ongoing recruitment efforts towards securing a full-time <br />County Road Engineer. <br />INTERACTION: Public Works, Auditor's Office <br />RECOMMENDATION: Approve a Resolution Appointing the Public Works <br />Director to serve as Interim County Engineer for an <br />additional period of time not exceeding six months in <br />duration (April 13, 2020). <br />HANDLING: Return one original to Public Works; One copy to the <br />Auditor's Office. <br />ATTACHMENTS: Resolution <br />LEAD STAFF: Mark R.
