to one (7:1). Currently, the FAA prefers othite mitigation for wetland impact. This
suggests that PW is well served to begin planning for wetland mitigation immediately.
Given the timeline associated with wetland bank creation, PW desires pushing the
construction of the parallel taxiway back to 2024. Any delay of the approved ACIP has
associated funding risk. Associated with the recognition that ACIP delay is inevitable,
given wetland and floodplain issues, reconfiguration of runway 11129 delay is likely to
2025. The FAA is just now beginning the planning cycle for 2025 airport improvements.
This early planning action supports delay of 11/29 reconfiguration. The process of ACIP
delay and associated funding implications is complex. There is a potential that
supplemental county funding may be required to keep ACIP implementation on schedule.
FISCAL LVTACTS:
Known impacts to finalizing the EA are defined and FAA is responding with additional
funding. Staff is requesting an additional grant supporting wetland mitigation in the
amount of $2 million.
ATTACHMENTS:
Exhibit 1: Revised ACIP schedule
PUBLIC WORKS BOARD OF COUNTY CONMSSIONERS WORK SESSION STAFF REPORT
