Discussion was held on widening the road at the entrance to the Lagoons. Patti stated it was in <br />the 2020 budget. <br />The Board directed Patti to schedule a meeting with the Board and Brown & Jackson. <br />Recycling Survey Update: <br />Patti informed the Board that there were 189 responses to the survey so far and that 2/3 were <br />from County Employees and 1/3 from City Employees. The results so far indicate that people <br />think the County makes money on recycling and that nobody wants to pay for it, indicating a <br />need for more outreach and education. <br />A brief discussion was held that Bruce Tabb would like to do something locally for glass and the <br />problem of contamination. <br />Project updates: Waiting to hear on the CWU project. Commissioner Wachsmith stated that <br />CWU is circulating decision packets to the various departments. Patti informed the Board that <br />she is working on the MOU for the Bowling Alley project to bring to the Board. <br />A brief discussion was held on scheduling an informational project meeting with Patti and the <br />Board. <br />Patti informed the Board that she is finalizing the closing on Unit #21 in Shady Brook on the <br />December 16th <br />Maintenance: Tim didn't respond with any items. <br />OTHER BUSINESS: A brief discussion was held on recycling efforts and free HHW for <br />residents. <br />A brief discussion was held on the parking projects and talking with the Rodeo Board about <br />Western Village as a possible place to house them. <br />Patti informed the Board that she got called to the Event Center Friday night for the Fire System <br />not working. A pipe broke in the Riser room and the alarm system failed. She informed the <br />Board that Kady would be bringing the cost of repairs to the Board. <br />At 2:48 p.m. Chairman Wright announced the Board would recess into Executive Session for 5 <br />minutes to evaluate the qualifications of an applicant for public employment or to review the <br />performance of a public employee. However, subject to RCW 42.30.140 (4), discussion by a <br />governing body of salaries, wages, and other conditions of employment to be generally applied <br />within the agency shall occur in a meeting open to the public, and when a governing body elects <br />to take final action hiring, setting the salary of an individual employee or class of employees, or <br />discharging or disciplining an employee, that action shall be taken in a meeting open to the <br />public.
