JANUARY 7, 2020 <br />Board members present: Chairman Brett Wachsmith; Vice-Chairman Laura <br />Osiadacz; and Commissioner Cory Wright. <br /> <br />Others: Julie Kjorsvik, Clerk of the Board; Clay Myers, Sheriff; Darren <br />Higashiyama, Operations Commander; Eric Vraves, Corporal; Ben Kokjer, <br />Operations Commander; Kady Porterfield, Event Center Director; Patti <br />Johnson, Solid Waste Director/Project Manager/Interim Maintenance <br />Director; Mark Cook, Public Works Director/Interim Engineer; and 2 <br />members of the public. <br /> CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Commissioner Wright called the meeting to order. <br /> PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE <br /> <br />Commissioner Wright led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> NOMINATIONS 2020 CHAIRMAN/VICE-CHAIRMAN COMMISSIONERS <br />Commissioner Wright asked for nominations to serve as Chairman of the <br />Kittitas County Board of Commissioners for the year 2020. Commissioner <br />Osiadacz nominated Commissioner Wachsmith to serve as Chairman for the <br />Board of County Commissioners in 2020. Nominations were closed. A <br />unanimous ballot was cast for Commissioner Wachsmith to serve as <br />Chairman for the year 2020. <br /> <br />Chairman Wachsmith asked for nominations to serve as Vice-Chairman of <br />the Kittitas County Board of Commissioners for the year 2020. <br />Commissioner Wright nominated Commissioner Osiadacz to serve as Vice- <br />Chairman for the Board of County Commissioners in 2020. Nominations were <br />closed. A unanimous ballot was cast for Commissioner Osiadacz to serve <br />as Vice-Chairman for the year 2020. <br /> INTRODUCTION OF NEW COUNTY EMPLOYEES – NONE PROCLAMATIONS – NONE
