Rain and
rapid snow melt caused isolated mud flows down two draws. DNR geologists responded to the site on Sunday. They
confirmed it is an isolated event and the mountain face is stable. However, the draws could slide again if the conditions
are right. The DNR crew had previously mapped the area post Jolly Mountain Fire.
One home is isolated because of the road damage. The area is without water due to their main water line was
disrupted. The home owners in the area all are aware of the incident. No one wanted to leave or sought ours or Red
Cross assistance at this time.
These are all private roads. No county roads were affected.
Any questions please let me know.
Darren
Notice: Email sent to k6tas County may be subject to public disclosure as required by law,
message id: 38eb45916c6dcbdac24bb8719dGO4a14
