BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />COUNTY OF KITTITAS <br />STATE OF WASHINGTON <br />RESOLUTION NO. -01(9 <br />DEMONSTRATING THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS SUPPORT FOR <br />AIRPORT AID APPLICATION TO THE FEDERAL AVIATION ADMINISTRATION <br />AND THE WASHINGTON STATE DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION <br />AVIATION DIVISION FOR BOWERS FIELD RUNWAY 7/25 REHABILITATION AND <br />AUTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF AIRPORT OPERATIONS TO EXECUTE THE <br />AIRPORT AID APPLICATIONS <br />WHEREAS: Kittitas County intends to submit Airport Aid Applications to Washington State <br />Department of Transportation Aviation (WSDOT) for the Construction of the <br />Runway 7/25 Rehabilitation Project at Bowers Field Airport (ELI); and <br />WHEREAS: The current anticipated total project funding is estimated to be $1,230,757; and <br />WHEREAS: WSDOT requires local sponsors of airports to provide a minimum of a 5% match <br />to all awarded grants for projects ineligible for Federal Aviation Administration <br />(FAA) funding; and <br />WHEREAS: The Airport Funding Application requires that funding applicants submit a <br />Resolution of Support from the Board of County Commissioners, stipulating that <br />local matching funds have been budgeted for the project; and <br />WHEREAS: The Airport's portion of matching funds for this project is estimated at <br />approximately $61,538, which is in the Airport budget as fund reserve; <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED the Kittitas County Board of County <br />Commissioners declares it be in the best interest of Bower Field Airport, and does <br />hereby support the funding request for Bowers Field Runway 7125 Rehabilitation <br />and authorize the Director of Airport Operations to execute the Airport Aid <br />Application; and <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Kittitas County Board of County Commissioners have <br />budgeted Airport funds in the amount of approximately $61,538 to match funding <br />for the project. <br />
