Cook <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Direct Public Works staff the Council of Governments (CoG). <br />BRIEFING SUMMARY: <br />• Public Works administers the Public Facilities Fund (108). <br />• Community Development Services currently provides staff support to the CoG. <br />• For the past several years, CoG's main workload annually consists of taking <br />actions with the Public Facility Fund. <br />• The Director of Community Development Services and the Public Works Director <br />both agree that Public Works is a better fit providing staff support to the Council <br />of Governments. <br />BACKGROUND: <br />Currently, Community Development Services provides staff support to the CoG. Public <br />Works administers the Public Facilities Fund. The primary workload for CoG in recent <br />years has been reviewing and recommending funding for various Public Facility grant <br />applications. <br />DISCUSSION: <br />The Director of Community Development Services and the Public Works Director both <br />agree that Public Works is a better fit providing staff support to the Council of <br />Governments.
