KITTITAS COUNTY <br />DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS <br />STUDY SESSION STAFF REPORT <br />STUDY SESSION DATE: March 9, 2020 <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Request to Approve a Notice of Call for Sealed <br />Bids for the Supply of a Steel Modular Bridge. <br />BACKGROUND: Public Works has been working on the <br />completion of the bid package for the <br />procurement of a permanent bridge to replace <br />the failing Big Boulder Creek Bridge on Forest <br />Service Road 4330. <br />INTERACTION: <br />The bid package will include bid requests for <br />design, fabrication, finishing and transporting a <br />60 foot bridge structure. <br />Call for bids are advertised in the legal <br />newspaper of record and the Daily Journal of <br />Commerce. <br />Bids are scheduled to be opened on March 26, <br />2020 at 10:00 a.m. in the Public Works <br />Department. <br />Public Works <br />RECOMMENDATION: Move to approve Notice of Call for Sealed Bids <br />for the Supply Steel Modular Bridge and direct <br />staff to advertise as requested. <br />HANDLING: Return one (1) copy to Public Works <br />ATTACHMENTS: Notice of Call for Sealed Bids <br />LEAD STAFF- Mark Cook <br />Director of Public Works <br />
