KITTITAS COUNTY <br />DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS <br />STUDY SESSION STAFF REPORT <br />STUDY SESSION DATE: March 9, 2020 <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Request to approve a Resolution to award Highway <br />Infrastructure Funding (Rural) and Highway Infrastructure <br />Funding (Urban) Funds to Kittitas County Public Works. <br />BACKGROUND: The 2018 Omnibus bill provided WA an additional $34.1 <br />million in Highway Infrastructure funding of which Kittitas <br />County was allocated $129,582 between urban and rural. <br />Kittitas County has an obligation to WSDOT to stay <br />current on awarded funding. Kittitas County has projects in <br />need of funding, is current with obligations and <br />recommends awarding the funds for Public Works projects <br />in need of additional funding resources. <br />INTERACTION: Public Works <br />RECOMMENDATION: Approve the Resolution to award Highway Infrastructure <br />Funding (Rural) and Highway Infrastructure Funding <br />(Urban) Funds to Kittitas County Public Works. <br />HANDLING: Return one original to Public Works <br />ATTACHMENTS: Resolution; Highway Infrastructure Funding Project List <br />LEAD STAFF: Mark R.
