BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />COUNTY OF KITTITAS <br />STATE OF WASHINGTON <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2020 - <br />SURFACE TRANSPORTATION BLOCK GRANT AWARDS <br />WHEREAS: Federal Transportation Funding is available to local agencies via the Surface <br />Transportation Block Grant (STBG) projects administered by Kittitas County; and <br />WHEREAS: Approximately $504,000 is available for rural and urban transportation <br />improvement projects; and <br />WHEREAS: Local agencies in the County submitted grant applications for calendar years <br />2018-2020 that were reviewed and scored by the STBG technical committee and <br />awarded; and <br />WHEREAS: City of Kittitas requests their award (Resolution 2018-088) for obligation in 2020 <br />to be moved to 2021 for project funding; and <br />WHEREAS: Kittitas County Public Works has projects that need additional funding and can <br />receive obligated funds for 2020 due the request by City of Kittitas to move their <br />obligation out to 2021 on awarded funds; <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners, in the <br />best interest of the public, does hereby award additional STBG Grant funding in the amount <br />defined as attached to said resolution. <br />DATED this 9th day of March 2020, at Ellensburg, Washington. <br />BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON <br />ABSENT <br />��t}t1111 I I f Irl lrrr11�' <br />MIS�si�,z`,,, Brett Wachsmith, Chairman <br />��,�,oM <br />~� <br />l Aihejklyd- Julie Kjorsvik <br />Laura iad , Vice -Chairman <br />..ePutyPtgl&if the Board- Mandy Buchholz <br />Cory Wright, Commissioner <br />
