Response 1:
ProjecVEvent
Description *
This project is designed to increase tourism, attendance, and historical a\ Ereness
by continuing to apply new and exciting promotions through social media marketing
and urebsite development regarding Kittitas County history. These funds will be
used wisely to continue a successful marketing and advertislng campaign that v\€s
unveiled in 2018 geared tovrard lourism and the primary mission of our Museum
ihrough its events and activiiies.
As a result of previous support through the Lodging Tax Grant, we have been able
to fulfill expectations, increase attendance, and continue community outreach
through adverlising and in-house activiiies. We introduced marketing in the
Seattle-Tacoma and Po(land, Oregon, areas in 2018, reaching newaudiences for
our events and aciivities. ln 2019, ue increased our demographics and frequency
in advertising, which sawa direct result reflected in our attendance and in our
guest log. ln 2020, \^,1e vvould like to eryand the frequency and reach of our
campaign to reach newaudiences in the Greater Puget Sound area, which r,r,rculd
bring day{rippers and overnight visitors into Kittitas County.
Some of the funds will be utilized to inform individuals about our e*libits, including
themes on uomen's history, historical anniversaries, geological events, and more.
Many of these et'ribits should directly draw indivlduals interested in historical topics
like Mt. St. Helens, the Suffrage Movement, and more. The eiribit schedule and
general programming connect to the new programming, as these are activities ihat
the Museum ah^€ys has happening. These events also tie to activities happening in
the area, other area museums, historic sites, events, which all add erperience and
eryloration of the community to a visit, and are rotated monthly.
Funds will also be used to advertise our walking tours, lecture series, and special
events, along wiih website updates for these events.
2500 character linit
List of lntended Use of Funds*
$1 0869.57 Online Advertising
$1,630.43 Genesis Management Fee
$2,500.00 Website Updates
2l Prolections of lncreased Tourism
Please provide the following estimates of how any money received will result in increases in the number of people
traveling for business or pleasure on a trip:
1.
