BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />COUNTY OF KITTITAS <br />STATE OF WASHINGTON <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2020 - <br />AFFIRMING THE COUNTY ENGINEER'S DECISION PAYING AN <br />ADMINISTRATIVE SETTLEMENT FINALIZING RIGHT OF WAY NEGOTIATIONS <br />FOR FAIRVIEW ROAD BRIDGE REPLACEMENT — CRP NO. 279-18 <br />WHEREAS: Two bridges have failed on Fairview Road at Coleman Creek, and <br />WHEREAS: Public Works has completed a replacement design for the failed bridges and <br />requires acquisition of right of way supporting the project; and <br />WHEREAS: In 2019 negotiations with an area property owner failed to resolve the necessary <br />acquisition owing to disagreement in property value; and <br />WHEREAS: The current economic climate dictates settlement of right of way allowing the <br />improvement project to proceed to construction this construction season; <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners, in the <br />best interest of the public, does hereby affirm the County Engineer's decision paying an <br />administrative settlement of $1,700 settling the right of way acquisition supporting the Fairview <br />Road Bridge Replacement Project, CRP No. 279-18. <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the County Engineer is directed to sign necessary right of <br />way documents acquiring necessary right of way for the project. <br />DATED this 21st day of April, 2020, at Ellensburg, Washington. <br />Attest: <br />❑ Clerk of the Board- Julie Kjorsvik <br />❑ Deputy Clerk of the Board- Mandy Buchholz <br />BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON <br />Brett Wachsmith, Chairman <br />Laura Osiadacz, Vice -Chairman <br />Cory Wright, Commissioner <br />
