KITTITAS COUNTY <br />DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br />AGENDA DATE: April 7, 2020 <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Request to Approve a Resolution to select Jacobs <br />Environmental and ESA for Professional Service Contracts <br />supporting Public Works for up to a Three -Year Period and <br />Authorize the Public Works Director to execute said <br />Contracts <br />BACKGROUND: PW continues relying on environmental consulting absent <br />an Environmental Planner on staff. On 01/21/2020; the <br />Department requested and received permission from the <br />Board to solicit for professional services (consistent with <br />state law and County policy). Responders provided <br />qualifications for review on 02/13/2020. Staff has <br />completed review of responder information and <br />recommends the selection of Jacobs Environmental and <br />ESA for standard professional contracts. The contracts are <br />in place for a two-year base period with a third potential <br />year if mutually agreed upon. <br />INTERACTION: Public Works <br />RECOMMENDATION: Approve the Resolution to select Jacobs Environmental and <br />ESA for Professional Service Contracts supporting Public <br />Works for up to a Three -Year Period and Authorize the <br />Public Works Director to execute said contracts. <br />HANDLING: Return one original to Public Works <br />ATTACHMENTS: Resolution <br />LEAD STAFF: Mark R.
