KITTITAS COUNTY AIRPORT <br />DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS <br />ADDENDUM TO LEASE <br />THIS ADDENDUM TO LEASE is made and dated this 51"]ay otW,20A, Uy <br />and be'tween Kittitas County. a municipal corporation in the State of Washington, hereinafter <br />refened to as the LESSOR, and Department of Natural Resources, an agency of the Stare of <br />Washington, and hereinafter referred to as thc LESSEE. <br />WITNESSETH: <br />wr{EREAs, LESS0R and LESSEE entered inro a Lease on May rr,lg77,a copy of <br />which is attached hereto and by this reference incorpomted herein; and <br />WHEREAS, according to Paragraph 2 "Rent", it states "DNR herewith agrees tfiat the <br />rentals for every five-year period after the initial fil,e-year period of the tenn of this lease may be <br />readjusted by the lJoard of County Commissioners not to exceed the fair rental value of such <br />lease premises not including any improvcnrcnts made by lessee: provided, that in no event shall <br />such rental adjustment be greater than 40% of the rental fol the previous five-year period; and <br />WHEREAS, it has been agreed between LESSOR and LESSEE that the following CPt <br />lndex will be used fbr the time periods 7l0l/2012 thru 6/30/2014 rental increases. The CPI Indcx to <br />he used: <br />"CPI - All Cities-All ltems Size Class D Under i0,000" <br />WHEREAS, from 7 /01/2017 thru 6/30/2019 the increase will be $0.03 per square foot per <br />the negotiated anrount between the Lessor and Lessee {br the lease of8.l2 acres (353,70?.20 sq. <br />ft.), The next increase will require a Lease Arnendmerrt to be drafted on or before July I, 2019 for <br />the next lease ternr fbr said 8.12 acres (353,707.20 sq. ft.). <br />ffi <br />DNR Lease Addendum PAGE 1
