BOARD OF COUNTY <br />COUNTY OF KITTITAS <br />STATE OF WASHINGTON <br />RESOLUTION NO. <br />DEMONSTRATING THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS SUPPORT FOR THE <br />AID APPLICATION TO THE WASHINGTON STATE OFFICE OF COLUMBIA RIVER <br />FOR INITIAL HABITAT ACTIVITIES ALONG COUNTY OWNED PROPERTIES AND <br />AUTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC WORKS TO SIGN AND EXECUTE THE <br />AID APPLICATION <br />WHEREAS: Kittitas County Public Works intends to submit an Aid Application to the <br />Washington State Office of Columbia River for Yakima Basin Integrated Plan <br />Habitat funding; and <br />WHEREAS: The current anticipated total project funding is estimated to be $655,000; and <br />WHEREAS: On December I't, 2015, Kittitas County adopted the Yakima River Corridor Plan — <br />Jeffries Levee to Yakima Canyon Habitat Enhancement and Flood Risk Management, <br />and <br />WHEREAS: Kittitas County has acquired property within the Yakima River Corridor —Jeffries <br />Levee to Yakima Canyon for the purposes of flood risk management and habitat <br />enhancement; and <br />WHEREAS: This project is identified on the Flood Control Zone District Annual Work Plan. <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED the Kittitas County Board of County Commissioners <br />declares it be in the best interest of the public and does hereby support the funding <br />request and authorize the Director of Public Works to sign and execute the Aid <br />Application. <br />DATED this 3'd day of March, 2020, at Ellensburg, Washington. <br />BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON <br />Brett Wachsmith, Chairman <br />Attest: <br />❑ Clerk of the Board- Julie Kjorsvik <br />Laura Osiadacz, Vice -Chairman <br />❑ Deputy Clerk of the Board- Mandy Buchholz <br />Cory Wright, Commissioner <br />
