BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />COUNTY OF KITTITAS <br />STATE OF WASHINGTON <br />RESOLUTION NO. <br />RESOLUTION TO AWARD THE BID TO FURNISH <br />ASPHALT MATERIALS FOR 2020 <br />WHEREAS: A Notice of Call for Bids was approved and signed on February 4, 2020, to <br />furnish Asphalt Materials for 2020; and <br />WHEREAS: Sealed bids were opened on February 20, 2020, at 2:00 p.m. at Kittitas County <br />Public Works and two (2) bids were received; and <br />WHEREAS: The Public Works Department recommends that the responsible bids of Granite <br />Construction Company and Columbia Asphalt and Ready Mix be accepted for <br />Schedules "A" and `B" to ensure availability of product, and <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners, in the <br />best interest of the public, does hereby award the bid for 2020 Asphalt Materials Schedules "A" <br />and `B" to Granite Construction Company and Columbia Asphalt and Ready Mix to ensure <br />availability of product, upon such terms and conditions as specified in the Proposal submitted by <br />said bidder(s). <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of Public Works is authorized to sign the <br />contract documents upon such terms and conditions specified in the Proposal submitted by said <br />bidder(s). <br />DATED this 3rd day of March 2020, at Ellensburg, Washington. <br />BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON <br />Brett Wachsmith, Chairman <br />Attest: <br />❑ Clerk of the Board- Julie Kjorsvik <br />Laura Osiadacz, Vice -Chairman <br />❑ Deputy Clerk of the Board- Mandy Buchholz <br />Cory Wright, Commissioner <br />
