Page I of2 <br />Public Notice <br />Kittitas County, Ellensburg WA <br />Public Notice - Posted February 18th, 2020 <br />NOTICE OF FUNDS AVAILABILITY (NOFA) <br />for <br />RAPID REHOUSING VOUCHERS <br />Homelessness and Affordable Housing Funding <br />The Kittitas County Homelessness and Affordable Housing Committee is seeking grant applications to address local <br />homelessness and affordable housing priorities utilizing ESS House Bill2163 funds combined with Substitute House Bill <br />2060 funds. The County of Kittitas Homeless and Affordable Housing Committee is soliciting applications to address the <br />issues presented by homelessness and affordable housing in Kittitas County and the Strategic Objectives outlined under <br />Objective 4 of the Kittitas County Homeless and Affordable Housing Plan updated in December 2019. <br />The Kittitas County Homeless and Affordable Housing Committee analyzedthe needs of people experiencing homelessness <br />in Kittitas County by reviewing the Homeless Point in Time count data, Homeless Management Information System data, <br />results from a survey of community members and housing providers, a survey of people experiencing homelessness, and <br />meetings with elected officials. The goal in Kittitas County now is to make homelessness rare, brief, and a one-time event. <br />Until the underlying social issues that lead people to become homeless are addressed, The Plan is to prevent homelessness <br />whenever possible and help people quickly regain stable housing and overcome their barriers to sustaining that housing. <br />Actions outlined in the Strategic Objectives Matrices Section of the plan are intended to address homelessness by promoting <br />a continuum of housing and support services that augment individual and family stability, resiliency, and economii <br />independence. <br />Eligibility: Eligible applicants consist of local nonprofit housing providers and nonprofit organizations, State and local <br />govemments, instrumentalities of local govemments, and public housing agencies. Priority is given to applicants who <br />propose to target services to individuals who are chronically homeless, literally homeless or at risk of homelessness, seniors <br />or disabled as well as those with prior experience delivering services to the target population. <br />Length of Awards: Grant awards will be made for a period of two (2) years, pending funding availability and the center's <br />satisfactory implementation of the proposed program.
