BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />COUNTY OF KITTITAS <br />STATE OF WASHINGTON <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2020 - <br />AUTHORIZING THE CHAIR'S SIGNATURE ON THE LOCAL AGENCY <br />FEDERAL AID PROJECT PROSPECTUS FOR THE VANTAGE HIGHWAY <br />PROJECT, CRP 298-19 <br />WHEREAS: The Vantage Highway Project Federal funds (HSIP) will be used to install <br />and upgrade non-compliant guardrail, and protect hazardous slopes along <br />Vantage Highway MP 21.25 —MP 27.51; and <br />WHEREAS: This project will be tied with a Rural Arterial Program project, which will <br />repair and provide an asphalt overlay on all lanes of Vantage Highway to <br />build surface depth and structural capacity at the same location; and <br />WHEREAS: In preparation to advertise the project for design in the spring of 2020 <br />Public Works is requesting the Washington State Department of <br />Transportation to release the Federal Funds for design; and <br />WHEREAS: A Local Agency Federal Aid Project Prospectus must be executed by the <br />Chair acknowledging the project has been reviewed and is consistent with <br />the agency's comprehensive plan for community development; <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners, in <br />the best interest of the public, does hereby approve the Chair's signature <br />on the Local Agency Federal Aid Project Prospectus for the Vantage <br />Highway Project, CRP 298-19. <br />DATED on this 4th day of February, 2020, at Ellensburg, Washington. <br />BOARD OF COUNTY <br />COMMISSIONERS <br />KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON <br />Brett Wachsmith, Chairman <br />Attest: <br />❑ Clerk of the Board- Julie Kjorsvik <br />❑ Deputy Clerk of the Board- Mandy Buchholz <br />Laura Osiadacz, Vice -Chairman <br />Cory Wright, Commissioner <br />
