10.06.010 Purpose. <br />The declared purposes of this chapter are to provide parking for the public who are doing business <br />at the Kittitas County Courthouse, to designate certain areas for parking for county employees and <br />county vehicles and to prohibit parking by non-employees in certain designated areas. (Ord. 891 <br />(part), 1989). <br />10.06.020 Definitions. <br />"County Parking" includes all properties owned by Kittitas County used for parking. (Ord. 2015-004, <br />2015; Ord. 89-1 (part), 1989). <br />10.06.030 Issuance of parking permits to county employees. <br />A overnight parking permit shall be issued to each county employee at the employee's request and <br />at no charge by the Kittitas County Human Resources department (Ord. 2015-004, 2015; Ord. 89-1 <br />(part), 1989). <br />10.06.040 Restrictions in county parking areas. <br />1. "County Parking Areas" are set aside and usable by employees and the general public doing <br />business at the Kittitas County Courthouse during normal business hours. <br />2. "County Parking Areas" are designated and signed as "No Overnight Parking Without Permit" <br />for personal vehicles. County owned vehicles are not required to display overnight Parking <br />Permits. (Ord. 2015-004, 2015; Ord. 89-1 (part), 1989). <br />10.06.050 Towing and impounding vehicles violating parking restrictions. <br />Any vehicle parking in any county parking area in violation of this chapter shall be towed and <br />impounded at the owner's expenseasprovided in Ch 46.55 RCW. Permits will be issued only to county employees for their use as needed for overnight parking at <br />the Kittitas County owned parking lots. <br />2 Permits will be issued by the Kittitas County Human Resources department. <br />3. Towing Company signs will be provided at towing company's expense. <br />4. The Towing Company providing towing services will be selected from qualified respondents to a <br />Request for Proposals and contracted under a Professional Services Contract with a term of 5 <br />years.
