PROPOSALDETAILS1.ApplicantProfileandQ.ualifications:Tellusaboutyourorganizationincludingthepurposeofyourwork,yourgoals,anyhistory,andexperienceworkinginhomelessand/oraffordablehousingservices,experiencemanagingpublicfunds,andanythingelsethatdescribestheorganization'squalifications.(250wordsmax.)ThepurposeofHopeSourceistoprotectthosewhocannotprotectthemselvesandtoencouragethosewhocan.OurgoalsaretoserveclientsbasedontheCASTLE(Courage,Authenticity,Service,Truth,Love,andEffectiveness)valuesoftheorganizationinordertoendhomelessnessinourcommunityandsupportpeopleinbuildingself-sufficientlives.HopeSourcehasa50-yearhistoryasaprivate,non-profitcommunityactionagencyoperatinginaruralenvironment,makingadifferencethroughprogramsthatstabilizehouseholdsincrisisincludinghousing,nutrition,energyassistance,homeweatherization,transportation,rentalassistance,andyouthrecreationassistance.HopeSourcehasservedastheContinuumofCareleadforKittitasCounty,operatedtheCoordinatedEntrysystemforKittitasCounty,conductedtheannualPoint-In-Timecount,completedtheCommunityNeedsAssessment,operatedtheonlyhomelessshelterinthecounty,built26unitsofnewaffordablehousinginCleElum,kept167unitsofaffordablehousingunitsfromgoingmarketrate,operatedPolarishousinginCleElum,andprovidedaPathwaytoPermanencemodelinEllensburg.HopeSourcecasemanagersaretrainedintrauma-informedcare,motivationalinterviewing,WSCAPfamilydevelopment,homehealthworker,mentalhealthfirstaid,andfamilystabilityplanning.HopeSourceoverseesadministrationof38federal,stateandlocalcontractsincluding;ConsolidatedHomelessGrant,HousingandEssentialNeeds,SupportiveServicesforVeteranFamilies,McKinney-Vento,HUD,RuralDevelopment,HousingTrustFund,HousingFinanceCommission,YouthHomelessnessDemonstrationProgram,andprivatefundingfromtheROEFoundation,MercerCreekChurch,theShoemakerFoundation,andtheSuncadiaAssociateFund.4
