' j .. <br />SCHOOL DISTRICT <br />Cultivating life-long learners <br />316 West Naches Avenue · Selah, Washington 98942-1328 <br />509.698.8000 · Fax: 509.698.8099 <br />SELAH SCHOOL DISTRICT NO . 119 <br />YAKIMA AND KITTITAS COUNTIES, WASHINGTON <br />RESOLUTION NO. 30-19 <br />CERTIFICATION OF 2020 EXCESS PROPERTY TAXES <br />A RESOLUTION of the Board of Directors of Selah School District No. 119, Yakima and <br />Kittitas Counties, Washington, certifying to the Boards of Yakima and Kittitas County <br />Commissioners of Yakima and Kittitas Counties, Washington and the Superintendent of <br />ESD 105, the amount of excess property taxes to be levied in year 2019 and collected in <br />year 2020 for the District's General Fund and Debt Service Fund; and providing for related <br />matters. <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF SELAH SCHOOL <br />DISTRICT NO. 119, YAKIMA AND KITTITAS COUNTIES, WASHINGTON, as follows: <br />Section 1. Findings and Determinations. The Board of Directors (the "Board") <br />of Selah School District No. 119, Yakima and Kittitas Counties, Washington (the "District") <br />takes note of the following facts and makes the following findings and determinations: <br />(a) By Resolution No. 20-19, the Board adopted a budget for Fiscal Year 2019- <br />20, (the "2019-20 Budget") that included certified General Fund Replacement Educational <br />Programs and Operation Levy excess property taxes in the amount of $3,097,205 to be <br />levied in 2019 and collected in 2020. <br />(b) The 2019-20 Budget included certified Debt Service Fund excess property <br />taxes to pay debt service on all of the District's outstanding unlimited tax general obligation <br />bonds in the amount of $4,402,000 to be levied in 2019 and collected in 2020. <br />Section 2. Certification of General Fund Excess Property Tax Levy . Pursuant <br />to RCW 84.52.020, the Board certifies to the Boards of County Commissioners of Yakima <br />and Kittitas Counties, Washington and the Superintendent of ESD 105, an excess <br />property tax levy in the amount of $3,097,205 to be levied in calendar year 2019 and <br />collected in calendar year 2020 for the District's General Fund ("2020 GF Levy Amount"). <br />Section 3. Certification of Debt Service Fund Excess Property Tax Levy. <br />Pursuant to RCW 84.52.020, the Board certifies to the Boards of County Commissioners <br />of Yakima and Kittitas Counties, Washington and the Superintendent of ESD 105, an <br />excess property tax levy in the amount of $4,402,000 to be levied in calendar year 2019 <br />and collected in calendar year 2020 for the District's Debt Service Fund. <br />30-19 <br />Page 1 <;1 The Selah School District, in partnership with students, parents and the community, cultivates a culture of life-long learning for all.<;;
