JT3 YAKIMA AND KITTITAS COUNTIES, WASHINGTON RESOLUTION NO. 04-2019-2020 CERTIFICATION OF 2020 EXCESS PROPERTY TAXES A RESOLUTION of the Board of Directors of Naches Valley School District No. JT3, Yakima and Kittitas Counties, Washington, certifying to the Board of County Commissioners of Yakima and Kittitas Counties, Washington and the Superintendent of Educational Service District I 05 the amount of excess property taxes to be levied in year 2019 and collected in year 2020 for the District's General Fund and Debt Service Fund; and providing for related matters. ' BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF NACHES VALLEY SCHOOL DISTRICT NO. JT3, YAKIMA AND KITTlT AS COUNTIES WASHINGTON, as follows: Section I. Findings and Det.enninations . The Board of Directors (the "Board") of Naches Valley School District No. JT3, Yakima and Kittitas Counties, Washington (the "District") takes note of the following facts and makes the following findings and determinations: (a) By Resolution No. 01-2019-2020, the Board adopted a budget for Fiscal Year 2019-20 (the "2019-20 Budget") that included certified General Fund educational programs and operation excess property taxes in the amount of$2,391,988 to be levied in 2019 and collected in 2020. The Board has detennined that the amount of the District's General Fund educational programs and operation excess tax levy previously certified in the 2019-20 Budget of $2,391,988 should now be increased to $3,250,000. (b) The 2019-20 Budget included certified Debt Service Fund excess property taxes to pay debt service on all of the District's outstanding unlimited tax general obligation bonds in the amount of$1,600,000 to be levied in 2019 and collected in 2020. Section 2. Certification of General Fund Ex.cess Property Tax. Levy; Assessor Authorization. Pursuant to RCW 84.52.020, the Board certifies to the Board of County Commissioners of Yakima and Kittitas Counties, Washington and the Superintendent of Educational Service District I 05 an excess property tax. levy in the amount of $3,250,000 to be levied in calendar year20t9 and collected in calendar year2020 for the District's General Fund. The Assessors of Yakima and Kittitas Counties, Washington, are authorized and directed, without further Board action, to reduce the General Fynd excess property tax levy amount to be extended upon the tax rolls and collected in calendar year 2020 to be consistent with the limitations imposed by RCW 84.52.0531. Section 3. Certification of Debt Service ,fund Ex.cess Property Tax Levy. Pursuant to RCW 84.52.020, the Board certifies to the Board of County Commissioners of Yakima and Kittitas Counties, Washington and the Superintendent of Educational Service District l 05 an excess property tax levy in the amount of $1,600,000 to be levied in calendar year 2019 and collected in calendar year 2020for the District's Debt Service Fund. Section 4. General Authorization and Ratification. The Secretary to the Board, the Chair of the Board, the District's Director of Business and Operations, and other appropriate officers of the District are authorized to take all other actions and execute all other documents necessary to effectuate 5Jl61911l
