Page 2 of 3 <br />Resolution Approving Umptanum Road Annexation <br />Into Kittitas County Fire District #2 <br />WHEREAS, following notice duly given according to statute, the BOCC timel y held a <br />public hearing on December 3, 2019; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, at the public hearing held on December 3, 2019, pursuant to RCW 52.02.070 <br />the BOCC considered the petition and received evidence in favor of or opposed to the proposed <br />annexation; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, at the public hearing the BOCC considered only those areas located within the <br />County, and did not include any lands outside the boundaries of the proposed annexation; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the BOCC did not exclude any lands from the boundaries described in the <br />petition; <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the BOCC finds that the area proposed to be annexed is rural residential in <br />nature, and is in an unincorporated area with no projected incorporation during the next ten (10) <br />years, with unknown growth projection; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the BOCC finds that the lands proposed to be annexed will receive a benefit in <br />that the annexation will provide fire protection to include wildland and structure fire responses, <br />which will help protect and ensure the well-being of the community; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the BOCC finds that the annexation will be conducive to the public safety, <br />welfare and convenience; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the BOCC approves Fire District No. 2's Resolution 19-18 dated September 12, <br />2019, to annex approximately 95.70 acres of the Umptanum Road area into Fire District No. 2. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: After public hearing following notice duly <br />given according to statute, the Board of Kittitas County Commissioners adopts the recommendation <br />of the Kittitas County Fire District No. 2, as submitted by the fire district's Resolution 19-18 dated <br />September 12, 2019, to annex approximately 168.00 acres of land of the Reecer Creek area into <br />Kittitas County Fire District No. 2. <br /> <br /> <br />DATED this __ day of December 2019, at Ellensburg, Washington. <br /> <br />ATTEST: BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />CLERK OF THE BOARD KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON <br /> <br /> <br />_____________________________ _____________________________ <br />Julie A.
