KITTITAS COUNTY <br />DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br />AGENDA DATE: December 3, 2019 <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Hold a Public Hearing to consider an Ordinance <br />Amending KCC 10.06.050 and 10.07.060 (Towing <br />and impounding vehicles violating parking <br />restrictions). <br />BACKGROUND: Kittitas County Department of Public Works has <br />continued operational issues due to illegal parking <br />in the Hyak Estates area. Staff has worked with the <br />Prosecuting Attorney's office on the proposed code <br />amendment and is requesting the Board of County <br />Commissioners amend KCC 10.06.050 and <br />10.07.060 as presented. <br />INTERACTION: <br />Public Works. <br />RECOMMENDATION: Approve the Ordinance to Amend KCC 10.06.050 <br />and 10.07.060 "Towing and impounding vehicles <br />violating parking restrictions'. <br />HANDLING: Return one copy to Public Works <br />ATTACHMENTS: Ordinance; Redline copy of KCC 10.06.050 and <br />10.07.060 proposed amendments and one clean <br />copy. <br />LEAD STAFF: Mark Cook, Director <br />
