Job Title: Director of Economic Advancement <br />Status: Full-Time/ Salaried/ Exempt <br />Salary Ranae: $50,000 -$68,000 dependln1 on qualiflcatlons and tenure <br />Department: Economic Development/Tourism <br />Reports to: Chief Executive Officer <br />SUMMARY <br />/J Hachment f <br />Responsible for all economic development Information and related services in Kittitas County. The Director <br />assists businesses and connects them with federal, state, re1lonal and local proarams. This Includes servfn1 as <br />the county's primary economic development contact, administering the ADO requirements. To promote <br />economic development by marf<etlng Kittitas County as a visitor and event destination through programs <br />which Include advertising, community relations, promotions and visitor services. <br />ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: <br />• Serve as the primary contact for the county as ADO. <br />o Attend required trafnlnss, conferences, etc. <br />o Complete ADO reporting requirements <br />• Assist county businesses seeking to start, maintain, or expand. This includes: <br />o Knowledge of economic development programs and services <br />o Meet with and asslst1n1 businesses <br />o Advise potential new/startup businesses <br />o Knowledge of properties and landowners. <br />• Assist out-of-county businesses seeking to relocate to the county. <br />o Meet with and assfst1111 businesses from out of the county. <br />o Anange sight visits; working with other economic development contacts. <br />• Publlclze the Chamber's Business Development services. This includes: <br />o Oversee updates to Chamber website. <br />o Publicize services offered to Include but not limited to <br />• Relocation Packet, promotions of the county <br />o Create business planning events, socials, networking <br />• Job creation/job fair <br />• Technology trends <br />• Networkina/referrals <br />o Create workshops that focus on but not ltmlted to: <br />• Local, state and federal regulations <br />• Government advocacy <br />• Track available economic development/tourism grants and opportunities: <br />o Opportunity Zoning <br />o .09 Funding County <br />609 North Main Street, EJJensburg, WA 98926 (509)925-2002 "'-ww.kittitascountychamber.com
