• Working in partnership with the County and Chamber to better utilize the available Foreign <br />Trade Zone <br />• Analysis of current business environment and creation of a strategic plan to move to a <br />proactive economic development environment <br />• Strengthening relationships with important partners including Central Washington <br />University, County Commissioners, and the Chamber of Commence <br />As previously stated, CenterFuse will measure success by the growth in median -wage jobs and <br />median household income. <br />In January 2019, the board reviewed the strategic plan, and also created a work plan for the year, in <br />order to move forward the goals of CenterFuse. The board established three committees to work <br />on priorities established within the strategic plan. An overview of the committees, and their <br />respective charge, are as follows: <br />FutureFo ce. This committee oversees development of CenterFuse as an organization, The 2019 <br />work plan includes the following; completed goals are indicated by a check mark: <br />1. Board Development: <br />✓ Articulate 2019 goals - Done <br />✓ Evaluate Committees, charge, and members - Done <br />• Join the International Economic Development Council, attend conference and leverage <br />trainings (quarterly training for board) <br />2. Outreach: <br />✓ Complete rebranding: Launch strategy; collateral; website with property search — Near <br />completion <br />• City Council relations: keep council apprised of CenterFuse goals, strategies, and <br />accomplishments with a minimum of two presentations per year <br />• Two Daily Record guest columns <br />• Connect with government and quasi-govemmental orgs —In Progress <br />• Organize and conduct at least 2 "pitch" meetings by December 2019 to develop new <br />business <br />• Work with Chamber on County -wide development issues — In Progress <br />3. Policy: <br />Monitor area economic development policies and voice positions that advance <br />Ellensburg's economic development position and quality of life. <br />• Actively engage in Land Use (Zoning) and Comprehensive Plan development working <br />closely with Community Development and the Planning Commission — In progress <br />4. Sustainability, <br />✓ Reapply for Distressed County Sales Tax (.09 Funding) for 2020 (complete by due date of <br />July 15) <br />Develop and submit Rural USDA grants for Community Economic Development <br />FutureForce is driving the rebranding of the Ellensburg Business Development Authority to become <br />CenterFuse. Through the strong leadership and experience of Linda Schactler and Jared Vallejo, the <br />
