A tfa chm en t F <br />plMRl OF WIIY�E <br />Job Title: Director of Economic Advancement <br />Status: Full -rime / Salaried / Exempt <br />Salary Range: MOOO - $68,000 depending on qualifications and tenure <br />Department: Economic Development/Tourism <br />Reports to: Chief Executive Officer <br />SUMMARY <br />Responsible for all economic development informat€on and related services in Kittitas County. The Director <br />assists businesses and connects them with federal, state, regional and local programs. This Includes serving as <br />the county's primary economic development contK% administering the ADO requirements. To promote <br />economic development by marketing IQttitas County as a visitor and event destination through programs <br />which include advertising, community relations, promotions and visitor services. <br />ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: <br />• Serve as the primary contact for the county as ADO. <br />o Attend required tralnings, conferences, etc. <br />a Complete ADO reporting requirements <br />• Assist county businesses seeking to start, maintain, or expand. This includes: <br />o Knowledge of economic development programs and services <br />a Meet with and assisting businesses <br />o Advise potential new/startup businesses <br />o Knowledge of properties and landowners, <br />• Assist out -of -county businesses seeking to relocate to the county. <br />o Meet with and assisting businesses from out of the county. <br />o Arrange sight visits; working with other economic development contacts. <br />• Publicize the Chamber's Business Development services. This includes: <br />o Oversee updates to Chamber website. <br />o Publicize services offered to include but not limited to <br />■ Relocation Packet, promotions of the county <br />o Create business planning events, socials„ networking <br />■ Job creation/job fair <br />■ Technology trends <br />N Networking/referrals <br />o Create workshops that focus on but not limited to: <br />■ Local, state and federal regulations <br />• Government advocacy <br />Track available economic development/tourism grants and opportunities: <br />o Opportunity Zoning <br />a .09 Funding County <br />609 Nanh Main Street, Ellensburg, WA 99926 (509)925-2002 w-ww.kittitascountychamber.com <br />
