Visitations will be conducted to assess, workforce needs, gaps in service along with any <br />issues businesses are facing with state and local government. This information will be <br />used to determine next steps order to grow their employment base and expand. <br />• Promote NKLevel Course and Enterprise Challenge. <br />• Meet with businesses at their request to discuss their pians, needs and concerns. <br />• Track grant and continuing education opportunities. <br />Compile a list of traditional and non-traditional financing sources. <br />Maintain a list of business incentives. <br />• Create a list of referral resources (Center for Economic Vitality, SBA, SCORE, and <br />Workforce). Publicize labor resources. <br />• Coordinate with Membership Services to send business assistance Invites/outreach to <br />new members. Create leave -behind brochure outlining services and resources. <br />Goal 3. Foster a common vilsion and collaboration <br />• Establish regular meetings with City Manager, Elected Officials, Business Leaders, <br />Partner organizations such as EDA, Work Source, CWU, DOC, SORE, WEDA, SBA, South <br />Central Workforce Council. <br />• Re-establish Partners' Luncheons to discuss what is happening with the various major <br />employers, associations, municipalities, and county. Luncheons will Include Downtown <br />Association, KVCH, School Superintendents, a City Council Member from all <br />incorporated cities, a Commissioner, Work Source, Roslyn Revitalization, etc. <br />Send our newsletter to all partner organizations and invite submission of content. <br />Provide legislative agenda and work with AWC and AWB on legislative issues specific to <br />Cities. <br />Promote existing assets throughout the county and marketing messages for the county <br />to help encourage the branding and messaging for the sense of place. <br />Goal 4. Assist start-up businesses and entrepreneur to ensure their success. <br />Create and Maintain Inventory of existing businesses and industries <br />Maintain a Reference library and business resource inventory. <br />+ Utilize CEV Industry Snapshots as a component of outreach activity. <br />• Create a list of referral resources (Center for Economic Vitality, SBA, SCORE, and <br />Workforce). <br />• Assist business start-ups with business planning, marketing and financial planning. <br />• Help prepare business for financing. <br />Establish business start-up workshop series through CRAFTS. <br />Work to establish entrepreneurial/start-up program for Women & Minority Businesses. <br />Use social media to communicate relevant and timely information that supports <br />economic development mission. <br />o Ribbon Cuttings, business—related events, shop local program. <br />a Eblasts to businesses with relevant info for business owners, like projects, <br />funding resources, labor resources, training, etc. <br />
