Attachment A <br />(Continued answers to questions) <br />Question 3 cont.: Over the past biennium we have seen continued efforts both in the State and Federal <br />funding for economic development. At the Federal level, the SBDC office only has one office to serve <br />three counties. This year we continued to strengthen our relationship with the Yakima County Economic <br />Development Association to eliminate areas of overlap on regional Issues that will strengthen businesses <br />throughout Kittitas County. By creating more efficiencies and looking regionally where it make sense, <br />we are able to provide a greater level of service to our business community without causing them any <br />undue burden. Additionally, we have revitalized our relationship with local agencies that will provide <br />support to each other for the purpose of recruitment to the area. Our partnership with Centerfuse, <br />formerly EBDA, we will have additional staff to support in the of forts of attracting businesses to Central <br />Washington. Through that relationship, Foreign Trade Ione partner Port of Moses Lake has now been <br />revived and being put to use to help assist manufacturing companies in our County to defer rising costs <br />of tariffs that become a hardship for companies in Kittitas County. <br />
