Further information regarding the definition of a specialty crop can be found at <br />www.ams,usda.gov/serviees/g1'ants/sc bgp . <br />I confirm the above <br />Cou t;ouat;oo or rrn;cct lg formati on <br />This project is not a continuation of another project. <br />Oth er Suppmt from Fed eral or Stat·e Ptogram s <br />There are no state or federal grant funds other than SCBGP being requested to fund this work. <br />Ex ternol rrn;ec t Support <br />The stakeholders who support this project are Washington State Tree Fruit Association (more than 2000 members), <br />Kittitas County Farm Bureau (growers on over 100,000 acres) and Kittitas Reclamation District (irrigation district <br />supporting 40,000 acres of irrigated cropland). All of these organizations are dedicated to preventing the spread of apple <br />maggot into newly planted and existing commercial orchard systems.
