We appreciate your willingness to serve on behalf of the people of Kittitas County, and extend to you our best wishes for an enjoyable and productive term of office. Your term is effective immediately and expires December 31st, of 2022, at that time you will be notified that your term is coming to an end and if you would like to be reappointed it will be for another 3 year term. Please be aware that since this is an alternate roll , there will be no financial reimbursement unless the alternate role is required by absence of a Board Member. We will make every effort to give you a minimum of 24-hours' notice of when your attendance is required. Although attendance at all hearings is optional for the alternate, only those hearings where the alternate is an acting Board Member will be paid. There is an annual Department of Revenue tra i ning for BOE members every year that you will need to attend within one year following appointment. Prior to you attending your first Board meeting, or performing any work on behalf of the BOE, you need to contact Human Resources and work with Jeanne Killgore at 509-962-7082, to arrange your new employee Orientation. You will be required to complete the Form 1-9 at that time; please bring your current ID that satisfies the requirements. If you have questions regarding Form 1-9 please notify Jeanne when scheduling your orientation. Also you will find attached the Kittitas County Boards, Committees, and Commissions Member Acknowledgement of Handbook Form.
