BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />COUNTY OF KITTITAS <br />STATE OF WASHINGTON <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2019 - <br />AWARDING 2020 DISTRESSED COUNTY SALES AND USE TAX FUNDING TO THE <br />KITTITAS COUNTY CHAMBER OF COMMERCE AND ELLENSBURG BUSINESS <br />DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY DBA CENTERFUSE AND AUTHORIZE A SECOND ROUND <br />OF CAPITAL FACILITY GRANT APPLICATIONS FOR THE REMAINING 2020 <br />DISTRESSED COUNTY SALES AND USE TAX DISTRIBUTION <br />WHEREAS: The Council of Governments (COG) of Kittitas County recently recommended partial <br />funding of 2020 Distressed Use Tax pursuant to the 2020 Public Facility grant program; <br />and <br />WHEREAS: The COG further requests the Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) to solicit <br />potential grant recipients for a second round of Capital Facility projects; and <br />WHEREAS: The BOCC is electing to award the Kittitas County Chamber of Commerce and <br />Ellensburg Business Development Authority dba CenterFuse only at this time; and <br />WHEREAS: Kittitas County Chamber of Commerce and Ellensburg Business Development Authority <br />dba CenterFuse are required to enter into an agreement to secure said funding; and <br />WHEREAS: The BOCC agrees it is in the County's best interest to re -solicit interested parties for <br />2020 Capital Facility grants and desires seeing all applications prior to awarding any <br />Capital Facility grants; <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners, in the best interest <br />of the public, does hereby award the Kittitas County Chamber of Commerce and the Ellensburg Business <br />Development Authority dba CenterFuse 2020 Distressed Use Tax Public Facility Fund awards. <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the BOCC does direct that staff solicit for a second round of <br />Capital Facility grant applications for 2020 Distressed County Use Tax award through the County's <br />Public Facility Fund. <br />DATED this 1 st day of October, 2019, at Ellensburg, Washington. <br />Attest: <br />❑ Clerk of the Board- Julie Kjorsvik <br />❑ Deputy Clerk of the Board- Mandy Buchholz <br />BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSION <br />KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON <br />Cory Wright, Chairman <br />Brett Wachsmith, Vice -Chairman <br />Laura Osiadacz, Commissioner <br />
