The COG took the position that once these funds were expended there should be a tangible
project that either immediately improves economic development or provides a design that
leads to construction. These projects are worthy candidates for economic development dollars
but the application and project scope need to lead to a completed project.
Additionally, the COG would like to recommend to the Board of County Commissioners a
reopening of applications for a second round of submittals. The COG is requesting the second
round of applications be submitted by October 11, 2019 at 5pm for review and presentations at
the COG October 16, 2019 regularly scheduled meeting.
Thank you for the opportunity to play a critical role in the evaluation and application of funds
that will assist in improving the economic development picture for the entire Kittitas Valley
community and we recommend you approve the funded projects as submitted.
Sincerely,11, CLQ '
?7
/ GAJ
Jerry Pettit
Conference of Government Chair
Cc: All Applicants
All COG Members
Kathy Boots, Clerk
K.(.(.O.G ° 411 North Ruby Street, Suite 2 ° Ellensburg, WA 98926 -PH (509) 962-7685 ° FX (509) 962-7682
