Theproject'sstorm waterdesignmayallowforpercolationofthewaterintothesloughresultingintheslough's watertemperaturespossiblybeingaffected.Itisrecommendedthatabaselineevaluationandsubsequentsemi-annualmonitoringofwaterqualityandofthebenthiccommunityforaperiodof3yearstodocument possiblechangesinthesloughduetostorm waterpracticesfor theproposed project.AlldevelopmentwillneedtocomplywithKittitasCountyMasterPlanandKCC17A.ii.Wetlands-Wetlandsarelocatedwithin200feetoftheproposeddevelopment'sfootprintto theeast.Thereisandinleteastoftheproperty.Perthereportconductedby theEnvironmentalAssessmentServices,thewetlandwastypedaCategoryIIwetland.Aminimum80 feetbuffershallbemaintainedfromthewetlands.Currently,thepreliminary platdepictsabufferthatisover120feetfromthewetlands.Propersignage shallbeincorporatedandmaintainedon-sitetoencouragethemaintenanceofthebufferandnaturalconditionof theshorelineandwetlands.
