All partners to this plan have jurisdictional authority <br />over specific locations within this planning area. <br />2.5 THE STEERING COMMITTEE <br />Hazard mitigation planning enhances collaboration and support among diverse parties whose interests can <br />be affected by hazard losses. A steering committee was formed to oversee all phases of the plan update. <br />The members of this committee included key planning partner staff and other stakeholders from within the <br />planning area. The planning team assembled a list of candidates representing interests within the planning <br />area that could have recommendations for the plan or be impacted by its recommendations. The partnership <br />confirmed a committee of 21 members at the kickoff meeting. Table 2-3 lists the committee members. <br />Table 2-3.
