BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />COUNTY OF KITTITAS <br />STATE OF WASHINGTON <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2019 - <br />TERMINATION OF THE GLADMAR PARK LEASE WITH CENTRAL <br />WASHINGTON UNIVERSITY <br />WHEREAS: Kittitas County and Central Washington University entered into a fifty (50) year <br />lease of Gladmar Park for educational purposes in 2007; and <br />WHEREAS: The lease requires establishment of a parking lot and foot access bridge by 2011 <br />along with additional site improvements; and <br />WHEREAS: The required improvements have not completed as of August 20, 2019; and <br />WHEREAS: Central Washington University has communicated their desire to abandon the site <br />for intended educational purposes; <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners, in the <br />best interest of the public, does hereby terminate the Gladmar Park lease with Central <br />Washington University. <br />DATED this 20th day of August, 2019, at Ellensburg, Washington. <br />BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON <br />Cory Wright, Chairman <br />Attest: <br />❑ Clerk of the Board- Julie Kjorsvik <br />Brett Wachsmith, Vice -Chairman <br />❑ Deputy Clerk of the Board- Mandy Buchholz <br />Laura Osiadacz, Commissioner <br />
