KITTITAS COUNTY MUTUAL AID AGREEMENT TO PROVIDE CALL COVERAGE <br />FORKITTCOM <br />This Agreement is made and entered into this /pfhday of @ ~ U{li: <br />between _______ KITTCOM (the Requesting Jurisdi 0 11) and <br />(the Aiding Jurisdiction). <br />Purpose <br />The purpose of this Agreement is to address the critical staffing shortage at KITTCOM by <br />utilizing assistance from local public safety partners that employ staff members that are available <br />and capable of providing necessary "third position" coverage. <br />Authorization <br />An Agreement of this nature is authorized under RCW 38.52.091. <br />Implementation <br />It is hereby agreed by and between the parties hereto as follows: <br />Terms and conditions here. <br />"Third position" coverage. "Third position" is defined as handling non-emergency calls <br />for service or acting as back-up to the primary first and second communications center <br />positions. <br />The duties of the "third position" may include: Answering business lines to include: <br />a) ADD Report Calls in CAD <br />b) Refer/assist callers <br />c) Phone messages <br />d) On occasion, business line calls are emergencies <br />Location of Coverage: Employees that are eligible to provide "third position" coverage shall do <br />so at KITTCOM in the communications center which is located at: <br />KITTCOM <br />700 Elmview Rd <br />Ellensburg, WA 98926 <br />Hours of Coverage: 2, 4, 6, 8, 10 or 12 hours at a time (this can be driven by <br />agency or Individual availability) <br />The KITTCOM Director shall have authority to deny assistance from an employee of a <br />participating Aiding Jurisdiction, whenever, in her sole discretion, or by decision of the <br />KITTCOM Board, it is determined that such person does not meet the needs or requirements of <br />the Requesting Jurisdiction. <br />Mutual Aid Agreement for Call Coverage
